On 8th March 2010, the children of Rathregan National School will make their First Confession at 10 am in Batterstown Church and the children of Kilcloon National School will make their First Confession at 20.00 in Kilcloon Church. | | Blessing and Distribution of Confirmation IconsIcons will be blessed by Fr. Rice at 11 am Mass in Kilcloon Church on 7th March 2010 and presented to the children of all three parish schools who have been confirmed on February 27th. All those who have been confirmed in the three churches of the parish are expected to be present in the parish church for the 11 am Mass on 7th March for the presentation of the icons. Men and women welcome. | Kilcloon Community CentreThe annual General Meeting will take place on Monday 1st March at 8.30 pm in Kilcloon School. As planning permission for the centre has been obtained the committee hopes that a large representative group of parishioners will attend. | | Stepping Stones ABA SchoolStepping Stones is one of the three shortlisted groups for the Maynooth Branch of AIB for the Better Ireland Programme. First place with the highest number of votes will receive €5000; second place will receive €3000 and third place €2000. The voting phase is from the 15th of February until the 15th of March 2010. All welcome! | | ConfirmationThe children in the Confirmation classes in Kilcloon, Rathregan and Mulhussey received the Sacrament of Confirmation on February 27th. They are to be congratulated on their knowledge and on their commitment as also to be congratulated are their parents. There were 55 Confirmed from the parish this year. | | Sr. Mary Hardiman & TrocaireOur parish subscribed a total of €5,000. The proceeds from the offerings for the St. Brigid’s Crosses is included in that and the effort is a handsome one indeed. | | Lent – Week TwoThe leaflets for Week Two of Lent are available at the back of the Church.
